Bleach blonde: How long for roots to come through

Been trying to go blonde at home over the past few months. It's been a long process, with of course some (or a lot) of damage to hair, but i've finally got it how i want,
Only problem is, i dont like how my roots are bleach blonde,
I like the look of dark roots just coming through the blonde,
So my question is, how long will it take my roots to pop through?

Also, is it a good idea not to wash my hair for a week or so and maybe wear it up in a bun so i dont use heat for about a weak?

Just want some opinions on making bleach hair look silky

I've only washed it with toning shampoo so debating whether to give it a deep condition tonight as it feels really dry

It depends how fast your hair grows. At least two weeks until the roots are visible and it also depends how much of a contrast there is between your original colour and the dyed version.
Definitely look after it, a mask once a week.
You can always let it dry naturally without a hairdryer. I don’t think it matters how often you wash it.

I like mine better once darker roots come through a bit too - mine grows pretty fast so usually 10-14 days and I see them. Conditioner and protein mask help the condition/silkiness ... but then it’s offset by purple shampoos which are kind of drying. It’s high maintenance for sure! I try and treat it very gently the first 2 weeks after a bleach - my hairdresser said that’s when it’s most fragile 🤷‍♀️
