I get eye bags occasionally. Have been using the ordinary caffeine on them. I just put on a tiny bit 1st thing and within 10 mins they are gone. That or cold spoons are meant to help. No idea about preventative measures im afraid

willowmelangell · 16/02/2020 18:09

Whats that @Girlintheframe ? Ordinary caffeine? What do you mean? The only caffeine I have in the house is Alta Rica Nescafe Instant. Not sure how I would apply that........

willowmelangell · 16/02/2020 18:18

Ooh just remembered. I read that hemorrhoid cream (piles) applied to under eye bags, shrunk them. I did try it. It sort of worked. All that happened was the 'bag' shriveled into a wrinkled, ugly mess. Think of a blown up balloon deflated. Previously big and taut, then much smaller and wrinkly. I didn't try again.

Ha it's called Caffine Solution 5% , it says reduces appearance of eye contour pigmentation and of puffiness. It's by The Ordinary, cheap as chips and really does work

Girlintheframe · 16/02/2020 21:22

It comes with a pipette I just put a drop or two on my fingertips and pat/dab in around my eye

This one by Kate Somerville www.katesomerville.co.uk/skin-care-products-goat-milk-under-eye-bags?gclid=Cj0KCQiA7aPyBRChARIsAJfWCgJ486CEPBP3uofi0fGv7n0GHXiEETPAQ4CSxycYKDhos7hRsCNoIDQaAqKDEALw_wcB

I got it in a set, the moisturiser doesn’t work for me , the cleanser is nothing special but the eye balm got rid of recently acquired under eye bags (too much work and too little sleep over the last month for me and not drinking enough water). This is not a chronic problem in my case, but it was very noticeable. Cold teaspoons didn’t work for me and neither did cold teabags. This did, apply morning and evening.

I tried the Ordinary caffeine serum for 3 months until it was used up and didnt notice any difference..!!

Girlintheframe · 17/02/2020 05:25

The ordinary caffeine solution is not a product I use consistently. I only apply it when I have the puffy under eye bags, usually due to lack of sleep or having alcohol the day precious. It tightens my skin, reducing the eye bag.

Iamblossom · 17/02/2020 08:09

My perfect eyes - it's a clear cream. It is a total 100% game changer. £30 but I wouldn't be without it now. Completely removes my eye bags. There is a trick to using it so you don't get a white grainy residue. Utterly recommend it, best beauty product I have ever bought.

Absoluteunit · 18/02/2020 05:15

I found The Ordinary's caffeine too drying for my eyes. The Inkey List do a caffeine eye cream that is a bit more hydrating

LadyLuna16 · 18/02/2020 05:28

@lamblossom can you share the trick. I have some and agree it works but can’t get it to not show.

Iamblossom · 18/02/2020 06:55

@ladyluna sure - I take a half pea sized amount and put it on the back on my hand, gently rub it in to disperse the grains in it and then swipe it under my eye. Obviously you have to get it before it has absorbed into the skin on the back of your hand. This really works for me and I can wear it all day without it drying white under my eyes.

I will be using it every day this week religiously as I am skiing and my eye bags are always terrible at altitude [ignores red wine consumption]

I hope this works for you too.

X

My daughter has dark patches round her eyes like a Panda! She has recently started using Ordinary caffeine cream and they have diminished noticeably! I suffer with eye bags, and have recently been doing some face yoga exercises! Have noticed an improvement, so maybe you could try! I'm also doing face yoga for my turkey neck lol. Go on YouTube and search for Danielle Collins, she's a face yoga expert and has many videos you can follow Star
