Afternoon tea in London outfit help needed.

I need some suggestions of where to get a reasonably priced dress for afternoon tea at a very posh London hotel please. I usually live in jeans and buy clothes from Next or supermarkets, so I have no idea where to start looking!
I’m in my 40’s, classic pear shape size 14-16.
Thanks!!

Asos are always my go to for this sort of thing. So many options. For afternoon tea, I like a patterned dress, maybe with tights and ankle boots.

I second Asos! Also Bombshell by Katya Wildman and they've got a sale on at the moment.

Phase eight do flattering dresses I've got a few for work

Don't overdress, you'll stand out. Less about looking "posh" more about being comfortable and maybe "put together"

How tall are you and what are you comfortable in?

Maxi skirt, tucked in top/shirt and a biker style jacket with boots.

Maxi dress

What's your favourite look?

Spacedinosaur, that is so uncanny, I have actually just ordered that very dress! There was the same one in animal print which I liked too but they didn’t have my size, but that is the kind of look I’m after.
