Have booked it for this week for the first time. A bit nervous. Has anyone had it? I have tired 56 year old skin with quite a lot of vellus hair so I’m hoping this will help

And it should, of course, be derma planing, not planning

My daughter does this, and microneedling, and does a facial on me every 2 weeks or so. Honestly, my skin has never looked better! There's no immediate result, but over a couple of weeks it starts to look glowy and hydrated.

You need more than one treatment though, it gets a bit better every time I have one. You won't regret it!

Btw, I'm 56 too.

I got some if those little blades off amazon but they feel almost serrated and feel slightly rough as they go over the skin.

There's a knack to it. I wouldn't try to do it myself.
