I think it depends on what your natural lashes are like and what you hope to achieve with the lvl. If you have dark, longish lashes it won’t make too much difference and if you’re looking for a false lash effect lvl won’t give you that. I have long but blonde lashes and loved the lvl but my sister has dark mid length lashes and neither of us could see a difference when she had it done.

I had it done and was really pleased with the result. My lashes are naturally dark but not dark enough if that makes sense, and mid length. The lift gave me a lovely natural look as though I was wearing a good mascara. I had it done mid December and I haven't felt the need to wear mascara since. Its only just just this past week that I've noticed they have dropped a little.
I would definitely recommend if you want the 'your lashes but better' look, it's not for people who want the look of fake lashes though.

It's looks fantastic on short, sparse and fair lashes but... I have seen it ruin the lashes of those who have had it done several times.

I had it done, but you absolutely must keep them dry for as long as possible afterwards. They say 24 hours but I always do 48, they stay curled for weeks if you do that.

XXcstatic · 16/02/2020 14:10

I found it was great for the first 2 weeks, but really annoying afterwards, as my lashes stuck out at weird angles.

I would consider having it again for a special occasion, but would do so in the expectation of my lashes actually looking worse for a few weeks, after the initial effect had worn off.

I really liked it. I have small eyes and the lift really 'opened' them

Wanderlustnearorfar · 16/02/2020 14:45

I have fairly long lashes but would like the benefit of the lash lift I am fairly fair, however don’t want to ruin my current lashes and have been putting it off

First time I had it dove I loved it. I had it done again just before Christmas for the second time (about 10 months apart) and kept them dry for 2 days but they didn't take as well and didn't look any different - I don't think I would have them done again

I haven't had LVL but another brand of tint&lift and was pretty pleased. I have reasonably long but straight and fair lashes so the lift made them much more obvious. They did start looking a little wonky as they grew out but not terrible. Not something that's worth the money to do regularly but as an occasional treat I'd probably do it again.

SpeckledyHen · 16/02/2020 16:40

I had it once on my long straight lashes . It was fine to start with but a few weeks later one eye was terrible . Frazzled wonky lashes at all angles . Wouldn’t do it again .

I think the best thing you can do is invest in a decent lash serum like revitalash. The results won’t be instant but in 6-8 weeks you will see a difference. Use a caring mascara too, I like the wilkos essence “I need a miracle”. About £3 and I use a primer first and my lashes have got longer and thicker since using it. Also be very careful removing eye make up, don’t rub too hard try to remove it gently with micellar water and cotton wool pads. I don’t think lash extensions or lvl are good long term solutions for better lashes.

Orangesandlemons82 · 16/02/2020 16:45

Mine looked good to start with but then the lashes went all crazy and frizzy, pointing in different directions.

FrancesFlute · 16/02/2020 16:51

I have very straight lashes. The curl lasted well and I liked the natural look as if I was wearing mascara. Definitely not a fake lash effect though! Technicians vary though. I had several good treatments then a different girl did them once and it wasn't as effective.

ChequerBoard · 16/02/2020 19:27

I had had LVL twice but it just doesn't suit my lashes. They aren't long enough and don't curl well so the LVL makes them stick straight up and looks odd IMHO.

My DD has LVL though and it looks amazing on her, her lashes look like she is wearing really well applied mascara all the time.

Same excellent technician used by both of us, it really does spend on your lashes!

I have just had (natural looking) lash extensions put on for the first time last week and I am really liking the result.
