What to wear when flying & breastfeeding

After reading a "what to wear while flying" thread I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what to wear while flying and breastfeeding?

We are taking DD to Portugal in the summer, and she will be 6 months so at the weaning/breastfeeding stage.
Usually I wear a t shirt dress or a maxi dress with wedges and take a pashmina or cardigan with me for the flight.

I'm 5'1", size 14-16, 34E, super pale skin, green eyes, dark brown hair.

Since having DD, I am living in jeans, sweaters & trainers so I've definitely lost any style mojo I previously had!

Good ladies of S&B, please impart your wisdom Smile

A maxi dress that you can pull down would be perfect. Then if you have the pashmina too you can use it to cover up if you so wish.

I always liked a one top up one too down thing (size 16 E cup) as felt I had way too much boob out if they were out above clothes. So that's why I say about the pashmina. If you are happy without covering then no need at all. Xx

Have a lovely trip. X That's a great age to travel with.

I just flew with my 12wo (London to dublin so not too long) and I can tell you, you want something that's easily accessible! He has been napping then started suddenly Screaming during the descent - I think because of ears popping -so I had to whip my boob out like a ninja!
I went with a tshirt and cardigan type thing. Defo bring a big pashmina or muslin; these are great for flights anyway as they can have the AC so high. Enjoy your hols!

@BirdieFriendBadge I didn't even think of a maxi I could take down! Blush mum brain?!

We are going with family, so lots of help! Ready to play "pass the baby" on the plane Grin

@GetTheSprinkles thank you!

I think I had in my head some lovely loose yoga pants-type things with a fitted t shirt & cardigan as I float through the airport, baby in tow! And then had a minor panic about not suiting the about outfit (short legs, wobbly belly!)

DH has also mentioned the (not to me) obvious suggestion of taking a change of clothes for me, as well as DD in the changing bag that I'll be using as hand luggage!

It's like every sensible thing I've known has just flown out of the window
