Work trouser woes

Does anyone know where to find basic work trousers (preferably in grey or navy) that won't flap above my ankles? I must have tried on at least 15 pairs today in various high street stores, and none of them were the right length for me.

I'm 5'8 and pear shaped, but have a long torso. This current above-the-ankle trend just emphasises the fact that my legs are comparatively short, and makes me feel like a child who's had a growth spurt and outgrown their clothes.

Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved!

Next trousers in long are good. M&S also do a long length and Espirit do long but not sure what their work clothes are like!!

@RNBrie Thanks! The Next I tried was pretty small, so there wasn't a great selection but I'll try a larger store. M&S's workwear range was awful (loads of elasticated waists), although I did manage to get some jeans in there.

I've never actually bought anything from Espirit. What's their quality like?
