I started browsing style and beauty a few days ago as I'm going self employed and wanted to feel confident and together. Thaks to you lot I know have ordered a nice navy wool pea coat/booked an appointment to have my eyelashes and eyebrows done/ordered a few 'classic' wardrobe items/ booked a friend in to come and give me short, neutral gel nails/ started applying moisturiser at night/started couch to 5k and started a diet.
You've created a monsterGrin
I'm still terrified of the prices you lot pay for things though!

Ah, but do you know how to write a letter to a Bishop? (Sorry, from a thread about effortless class on here)

You are simply investing in yourself, you are beginning a new life and you will feel confident and sorted. Plenty of bargains shared as well as expensive things though. Good luck with your new career 🙂

@Lovestonap Ha! I started reading S&B last summer and since then I have:

  • Made several clothes purchases recommended here - snag tights, Boden clothes, cashmere jumpers, jeans

-Had a Styled by Susie consult

  • Become a Curly Girl
  • bought a couple of handbags
  • had Rigby and Peller bra fitting
  • overhauled skincare regime and wear SPF 30 most days.

Actually after writing all that out, I'm quite pleased with how far I've come. So thank you to everyone who's ever posted an opinion on a product - it has also been life-changing (and expensive) for.me.

(Still got to work on diet Grin)

Another one here who's had lots of help and recommendations over the years (and about to ask another question!) thanks everyone!

Ooh please show your navy pea coat, I've been searching for the right one for years!

strictlyshowbiz · 12/02/2020 23:23

Yes please link to the navy pea coat!!!

Not a great pic, and actually it's a crepe rather than wool but that means it will be light enough for spring. I really like it. Its from Oasis and is in their sale

Skincare doesn’t have to be expensive op, I look really young for my age but use very, very cheap products & cheap make up.

Looking good is being healthy. If you smoke 80 a day, use a sunbed and drink a bottle of wine every day to wash your ready meal down buying an £80 foundation won’t make you look 21 again.
