Hi all

having discovered that my Avenue day moisturiser (recommended by mumsnet…) is no longer manufactured.... need to replace it quickly . Can anyone please recommend a good replacement. I am in my late 40's, budget about £20 if that helps!

Thanks!

Aldi Caviar day cream, in the silver box. I'm not on a budget particularly, I buy it because its lovely.

I'm 43 & use Boots No7 Protect & Perfect spf15 day cream

Tomatogravy · 12/02/2020 21:50

Drunk elephant poly peptide cream is my latest fave reminds me of the Charlotte tilbury but without been overly rich

Catcrazy008 · 12/02/2020 21:53

The ordinary nmf, natural moisturising factor. You can buy from boots

Magpie1976 · 12/02/2020 21:59

Mid 40s here and use superdrug hydrating serum

I swear by Lidl's Cien regenerating night cream as a day cream. Only about £1.50 and lovely and rich.

Another one for the Aldi caviar day cream I tried it after seeing it recommended on here and absolutely love it now

Odylique rose moisturiser is lovely, as is their avocado one if you want a richer moisturiser

Honeybee85 · 12/02/2020 23:58

The Lidl Cien Q10 line is brilliant!

My friend of your age swears by Oil of Olay moisturizers.

I really rate this. Brand is from New Zealand and use rosehip oil. Light but moisturising.

frugalkitty · 13/02/2020 08:29

OP do you mean 'Avene'? I know my autocorrect changes that to Avenue.....if so which cream can't you get anymore? Please don't say Skin Recovery Cream!

grannycake · 13/02/2020 08:51

I have used Nivea So Soft for three years and my skin is great - only about a £1 in places like home bargains. I do use a sunscreen as well in the spring/summer

Thank you for your suggestions will take a good look tomorrow!

I use Nivea Q10, the white tub with orange writing, it goes on really well and smells divine, much nicer than some of the more expensive ones I've used!

Ponks · 14/02/2020 22:01

Boots No7 Protect and Perfect for me - love the feel of it. Superdrug do some great moisturiser though if you want much cheaper.

Eucerin hydro something or another SPF 25

I think I’m on my 12th pot now
