Where to find lovely, casual day dresses

I used to love wearing day dresses to head into Spring, but can't seem to find the same quality or style in places I used to look, and the styles feel dated ( White Suff and Joules being especially disappointing). Boden's okay bit quite pricey. And why does nothing have sleeves any more?

Where can I look for flattering, stylish casual dresses, preferably in natural fabrics, that I can wear with boots, pumps or trainers? I like a pattern, or a richer colour. Nothing too grey or sacky because what looks chicly gamine on a seventeen year old model looks like a grey sack when it encounters my mum tum abs cake-loving bottom.

@Forgetcourgettes I am 6' and find them a decent length - could be longer but I’m happy with them at knee length on me. Theyd be fine for you at 5'6. Some of the materials bobble in the wash (but I quite like that personally!) but mostly they wash and wear well. Also, there is a lovely FB community which is worth getting into!

@FindMeAHolidayPlz thanks for the Joy link, they have some nice dresses.

Do you know how their sizing comes up?

Fat face is usually good for spring type dresses - I like the “fixed” wrap style ones they do.

Ooh, another one is joe browns - I always forget about joe browns but they do some nice jersey dresses.
