Eyebrow pencil with staying power

My eyebrows are thin and have been for about 5 years. Never really overplucked or waxed, they simply became quite wispy.

I use an eyebrow pencil, subtly. But by the end of the working day, it's faded and I have to reapply. I'm too skint and too fearful for microblading, but I'd love to find a pencil that actually stays especially when donning my winter bobble hat.

Sorry - presses Post too soon.

I'd like one that stays in plays and need removing using make up remover.

I've used a Rimmel one for years now and I always find it stays put really well.

chochaholic79 · 09/02/2020 21:52

I use the no.7 one. It's supposedly a dupe of the benefit one. I find it really good, and lasts all day!

I use this one. I used to buy a MAC eyebrow pencil which is exactly the same. This is MUA Ons is a fraction of the price

WelshMoth · 09/02/2020 22:05

Thanks!
Would these really survive the friction of a bobble hat?

Mine does but I do use a fixing spray and I also have very oily skin

Beautifullymixed · 10/02/2020 01:25

I also use the one recommended by button.
I prepare by using primer over the area then pressing loose powder over my bare eyebrows.
I apply the pencil - it's great for creating a precise edge, and often go over it with brown brow powder afterwards.
To finish, I lightly dust over the brow with powder again to set.
My brows do not budge Smile

Beautifullymixed · 10/02/2020 01:36

These are my brows after a few hours.
I wear the dark brown which is very flattering on my mixed race complexion, and looks very natural in daylight too.
I will be stocking up soon though, as I keep losing the pencils as they are so thin.
My only gripe.

Soap and glory. Can't remember the name, I'll check tomorrow.

bettybea · 10/02/2020 07:59

The Rimmel one mentioned up thread is excellent. Really cheap too!

WelshMoth · 10/02/2020 19:54

Thanks everyone.

Second question - what primer and what powder to fix in place??

Great eyebrows @Beautifullymixed

Soap and glory archery, the pencil and brush one. I use nyx first base primer spray and elf setting spray, works for me.

GoshAnon1234 · 10/02/2020 20:34

Agree with Rimmel (professional eye brow pencil is the name and has a little brush at the end) I spend quite a lot on certain make up items but have never felt any need to deviate from this one! Also agree with using a make up setting spray - I think MUA is the best and it’s about £5

nevernotstruggling · 10/02/2020 20:42

I have used the Rimmel one for about 22 years! I have oily skin too. I would rather a powder but I can't get on with them.

The rimmel one in dark brown sells out often too

stoplickingthetelly · 10/02/2020 20:43

I think No 7 is the best of the high street ones I’ve tried. I also like Bobbi Brown, but No 7 is a fraction of the cost and just as good.

I'd deffo recommend this. It's better than wunderbrow and £5 cheaper too. A tiny amount goes along way. Doesn't come off until you wash it off, rain proof and sleep proof

& staying gel

Brilliant for thicker brows that last until you scrub them with make up remover

Done this morning, wore hat to go out. Kiko felt tip No 3. Under a tenner, lasts days if careful in the shower! I have alopecia and think I manage a reasonably natural look with this.
