What shoes with wide leg trousers?

Hi

As my title suggests I am looking for some suggestions for shoes to wear with wide leg trousers. I am back to work in a few weeks after a year mat leave and have purchased some wide leg trousers but have no clue what shoes to wear.

Needs to be flat or low heel and links to specific items gratefully received!

I am very out of my comfort zone as have put on a lot of weight and my previous wardrobe is all miles too small Sad

I wear pumps with mine . Converse or supaga silver ones..
In the summer I wear a wedge sometimes too

I would wear boots with a block heel or wedges.

Brogues and loafers are both good. Trainers if your workplace allows.

I have grey suede lace up brogues, gold leather loafers. White minimalist leather trainers.

Are they wide and cropped or full length? Think we need a picture 😁 I wear Clarks brogues with my mine.

Almost all shoes! It just depends on the cut. For instance I think my ankle boots with rounded tops look bad and the ones with even tops look great I guess it mirrors the trouser line. But I also wear loafers and brogues, trainers, etc. And my colleagues wear them nicely with heels. In winter, as I'm wearing heavier tops, I think chunkier shoes look best to even out the shapes.

Thanks everyone!

I have no idea how to do links Confused but I got a black pair of wide leg tie waist ones from M and S which I think would be good with trainers so thanks for that suggestion. The other pair are smarter paper bag waist style ones so might also work with trainers but I thought maybe need a proper shoe. I tried ballet flats as that is the only other shoe I have at the moment but that definitely wasn't right. Both pairs are full length and I am short and chunky which doesn't help things!

I might try and venture out tomorrow with them on and give some loafers and brogues a try.
