I'm getting married in June [register office] and have no clue how to dress or where to start looking. Any recommendations or suggestions would be welcome.

I'm in my 60's, 5' 2" size 14 on top 12 below but can get away with a size 14 dress ok usually.

I've got my eye on a hat that's fashioned in a large pink chiffon rose style on a headband that I'd like to wear on the day but I need help with the whole outfit and how to look special and not like I'm one of the guests please.

(I mean I like the pink in relation to the hat, but maybe that would be too pink. I agree, camilla’s wedding outfit was great.)

Pretty Dress Company should be worth a look.

Nancy Mac has some lovely dresses.

Lindy Bop.

@Ladybird37 even better as I’m also tall and, cough, not thin.. glad I clicked on this thread 😃 I like a lower neck as well.

OP from what you’ve said, I think the pink Phase 8 one @Tartyflette linked too looks really pretty and would be lovely with your hat.

Personally i would need a bag, but you could definitely do a little bouquet with that dress

Thank you for the congratulations @Whatdotheywear I am pretty sorted just trying to sort wedding music ( on another thread :) ) I too am an older bride (58).

@BlastEndedStrewt I saw it here but not sure how reliable that website is but as you can see it's Phase Eight www.nativedowntown.com/phase-eight-bridal-ines-tapework-wedding-dress-knee-length-sleeveless-dress-antique-cream.html

That tea length wedding dress is lovely, I'd look washed out in white or cream unfortunately.

I've been perusing all the links and suggested sites, thanks everyone, it's been an eye opener, never heard of the pretty dress site before.

I've sent for the one in @Tartyflette link, the eau de nil one with roses on the front.
Just need to find something to cover my arms now - if anyone has suggestions.

The bouquet of gypsophela sounds lovely @Ninkanink I might steal that idea if you don't mind.

There will only be 10 of us altogether so not a big affair - need to sort our what to do about a reception next. We'll be lost in a big room and lots of places have a minimum number for private dining.

The Butter cream dress on the John Lewis site is perfect
