They're both comfy and hard wearing.

dementedpixie · 08/02/2020 09:16

My dd wears hamble oak shoes for school

Floisme · 08/02/2020 09:27

I find them very comfortable although I've seen some posters say they have to break them in first. I'm generally very hard on shoes but they're pretty sturdy and wear well.

If by dead you mean out of fashion next season - we'll I've worn brogues on and off for around 40 years so I'm a bit Grinat the idea that they're a seasonal trend. But yeah I guess they may not be in fashion for much longer cos that's how it works - in fact high fashion has probably already moved on. However they've always been around and I'm sure fans like me will carry on wearing them regardless.

I've a few pairs, probably from about 5 years ago, I find Clark's shoes suit me well (size 8 & some brands are a bit too neat). I've blue, black and brown ones with Harris tweed ones.

Flo, I mean dead by worn out. I am not overly fashionable so not worried running behind times fashion wise next season Grin

Ah right sorry Grin In that case yes, I find them pretty hard wearing and I am a killer of shoes.

slipperyeel · 08/02/2020 11:57

Great shoes, my pair are a few years old. Comfy and smart.

Twenty2 · 08/02/2020 11:59

I find the insole very hard, there's no real cushioning. If I wear them more more than an hour or so, the soles of my feet go tingly.

nickEcave · 08/02/2020 12:01

I've been wearing hamble oaks for about 5 years and find them very comfortable and I walk several miles most days.

dudsville · 08/02/2020 12:06

I think it's an exceptionally comfortable shoe. I have three pairs, all purchased 5 years ago, and wear them loads.

Chage · 08/02/2020 12:08

They’re gorgeous and last for years

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/02/2020 12:29

Agree that they're quite comfortable but Clark's also do some bouncy brogue type things which are even more comfortable.

hydeandrun · 08/02/2020 12:52

thanks, off to Clarks now.

They really helped with my plantar fasciitis. I'm on my feet all day and love them. Have them in 6 colours from silver to pink/beige multi, always buy in the sale!
