I’m a double wear lover but if you was to use or buy another foundation what would you use?

I have recently in an attempt to be more frugal bought Revlon Colourstay (in the advise of an old thread here) I am very very impressed. Great coverage and long stay ability. I have also flirted with Clarins extra firming foundation and that was good but no double wear.

Primark Double Coverage Matte. Seriously amazing stuff, and only a fiver!

Flower Beauty Light Illusion

I second Revlon colourstay!

FauxFox · 07/02/2020 18:40

I use the Primark one too - very good copy of double wear imo - try it, only a fiver so worth a go!

Junobug · 07/02/2020 18:51

I tried colour stay but find it a bit yellow. The primark one is brilliant. I find it really buildable so put it on really thinly day to day but can add a bit more if I'm going out.

I use DW but find it a bit heavy for everyday so I use Nars radiant long wear foundation on in between days and really rate it.

I also converted to Revlon Colourstay about a year ago and have never looked back. The colour match is better for me and I use the one for dry skin which suits me much better than Double Wear did.

100000% nars radiant long wear! The best by far. However If I was broke I’d get revlon colour stay

Tinks15 · 07/02/2020 19:59

Thanks I can’t remember if I’ve tried colourstay.
I haven’t tried Nars maybe I should try & get a sample.

I have recently swapped to Charlotte Tillbury Flawless and I am very impressed. I used two thin coats of double wear but only one coat of CT and I am finding it lasts all day and still looks good 12 hours later. I use the elf putty primer, CT powder and the elf fixing spray.

I also found my make up looks nicer on top, especially my blush, which also lasts all day. I keep admiring my make up in the rear view mirror at traffic lights 😂

I used DW for years but CT is the same price, has a pump and is cruelty free. Not keen on the smell though, it makes me think of a cow field for a split second when I apply (but that is probably just me, I have a very sensitive sense of smell!)

I switched from DW to Avon Power Stay after seeing a makeup blogger use it and have to say it's pretty amazing, long lasting and gives a similar finish to DW but less cakey.

I used to use Revlon colorstay years ago and loved it. Bought ELDW asking for a dewy foundation Hmm and I'm not a fan as not dewy but yes reminds me of colour stay. A friend of mine swears by a primark dupe too after I complimented her foundation.
