hair gloss?

My hair is dark brown and getting some grey sprinkled through hairline parting and sides especially.

I've tried colouring (both salon and home) over the years and never really loved the results plus it seems to make my fine hair feel lank.

I've got an event next week and will see people I haven't seen for years and am trying to fight the urge to get it coloured on impulse because even semi's seem to linger in my hair.

I was thinking what I would really like is if I could just make it have that lovely shine you get after a new hair colour.

Does anyone know how I can achieve that?

I think it's down to treatments like the Yuko treatment etc. This is the conclusion I have come to after much trial and error and conversations and Grazia reading.
So I think it's an expensive hairdressers thing not any shop bought oil/serum/treatment

Gliss shine tonic spray?

You can buy a gloss professionally. It's a clear semi. They use it at the salon I work in.
Try phoning your local salon to see if they offer it. Not sure if you can buy it at home.

Hairdressers can do this, they can use a clear toner that adds that glossiness.

Wow, thank you all, will look into those suggestions.
