I am 30 in a couple of months and cannot think of anything I want. My DH wants to buy me something special as I got him a watch for his 30th last year. Any suggestions? Not sure if I want a bag or maybe earrings?

I recently got a jacket from All Saints for a present which I have adored wearing and had been lusting after for years

what is your rough budget?

Mirrorxx · 06/02/2020 14:54

I would say upto 2000

Trip away? Really posh hotel, theatre/opera/ballet/special dinner etc? Maybe do that and you'll see something you like while you're there.

I dont think it will really be that 'special' otherwise if it's a material object in the instance where there isn't anything you actually want and it's sort of just or the sake of it - that's my experience anyway. Especially when you're also picking it yourself.

Diamond studs
Pearl earrings
leather jacket
fabulous pair of classic designer shoes

Think classic things that you will be able to wear for years to come.

Failing that I'd go for a spa trip or mini cruise, some kind of experience that you will never forget and have the memories forever.

Investment bag /wallet
Diamond studs
Classic jewellery (Cartier bangle - bit over budget)
Burberry mac

Do not buy expensive shoes, you'll be terrified to wear them and they still hurt (I'm looking at you jimmy choo)

Happy birthday OP!

A professional photo shoot for the both of you, but some shots of just yourself.

A day on the Orient Express for the both of you.
A Georg Jensen piece of jewellery.
A she shed.
A bottle of your favourite perfume with matching body lotion and soap.
A vintage leather jacket.
A couple of pairs of really lovely Dr Martens.
A cashmere scarf.
A landscape gardener to set up a raised vegetable plot.

I'm aware I could spend that money in a flash...... really do recommend the Orient Express though...an experience and a real treat.
Please let me know what you decide ...I love mentally shopping for someone Grin

A she shed

ooh I would choose this with electricity, nice and warm and room for all my craft bits

I got a Cartier watch, I have had it for many many years and it still looks new and people always comment on it

I would choose a pendant as I love mine and never take it off. It's glass as my dh couldn't afford a diamond. With that budget iwould go to a second hand jewellery sale (dix noonan Webb are about the right level) and have fun buying it.
