Footwear with arch support

Hi there. So I have weird shaped feet and dropped arches. After years of uncomfy shoes and trainers and trying various insoles and aids I got a pair of saloman hiking boots for Christmas and they're amazing! Fit perfectly and the built in arch support is wonderful.
Can anyone recommend any other brands that have built in arch support in shoes or trainers?

Birkenstocks do, they don't just do sandals.

Expensive and not everyone's style but Ariat (horse riders' brand) have very supportive soles and they don't just make riding boots, although they do make a lot of those! I had some black ankle boots from them years ago and they were the best ever.

Vionic. I have loads of pairs - heels, boots and trainers.

Second vionics. This was the first summer I actually could wear 'pretty' shoes - normally I have to stick to chunky hiking sandals. The vionics didn't look like they were going to give enough support but they were actually unbelievable!! I've got the kirra sandals and will invest in more

I was also recommended vionic by my physio. Haven't got any as yet as quite expensive. I had a pair of Merrell walking boots for Christmas and they have an excellent arch support.

Massive range of styles (some a lot better than others). The only shoes I can wear that don't leave me with painful feet after an hour apart from my crocs.

I bought several pairs from Tk Maxx online vastly reduced. Also boots from eBay and sometimes offers on Legend shoes & simply feet.

Oh wow, thanks so much for the recommendations! I've spent most of the last few years wearing Fly boots, Nike trainers (no particular fondness for brand but discount store nearby!) And Clarks sandles and work shoes. I thought Clarks were way forward but other than work style shoes none seem comfy any more. Until I got the Salomans I thought I was destined to have uncomfy feet forever! I also have chronic back pain and inserts seem to make this worse. So happy to have some other options to try Plantar fascitis ads coming up in middle of thread, how apt! Now I just need to find some eBay bargains!

I did get some vionic trainers on eBay. They are lovely but too tight for me. Not sure if they come up small generally. Mine are a 4.5 but fit more like a 4.

Ah, eek, I'm currently winning an auction for a size 6 pair, as that seems to be my size nowadays. Although I used to need 6.5 or 7 in most brands.
Have any of you others that recommended them had any sizing issues?
I could start a whole new thread on the annoyance of being multiple different sizes in clothing/shoes depending on brand!

Yer they can come up a bit small but they are on the wider side, not narrow fit. Altho they are still ok on my narrow feet. I’m usually a 5.5 in Clark’s or Gabor but a 6 in vionics

Oh my, much as I'm now crying as they are so far up my street they're pretty much camped on my couch, there's no way I'm ever going to be able to afford those!

Looks like I'm going to have to venture out in to the real world and try on some vionics!
