Elemis - worth it?

Recently had a facial with Elemis products. They felt and smelled lovely and the therapist recommended the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream as being good for my skin. It’s £87 a pot so would be a big purchase for me, I don’t really use any skincare other than soap and water.

Is Elemis actually good or just expensive and does anyone know if this cream is worth the money?

If you want to try Elemis products take a look at QVC website. I recently bought a range of their products for £50, including 30ml pot of the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. It's nice but I'm not convinced I would buy it again. In fact, I ran out a week ago and went back to using Lixir Skin Universal Emulsion, which I have used for around a year before trying the Elemis.

I do, however, love their cleansing balm. I have both the Rose Cleansing Balm and the Pro-Collagen version too. I really like both and can see that they will stay part of my skincare for the foreseeable.

Yes i always use the marine cream. Really miss it when i run out but yes buy from QVC

Yes I think it's worth it! Frangipani body oil is incredible, I use it on my hair once a month or so overnight and then wash it off in the morning. The facial oils are all amazing too. And the cleansing balms. Often on offer, Debenhams or QVC. The berry superfood mask is also really good if you have any spots they disappear almost instantly!

I heard rave reviews about it so I got it. Within a couple of weeks, it had made my nose really oily. I have dry skin generally, and I haven’t had this with any other moisturiser. So I wouldn’t personally recommend it. I’ve used Estée Lauder day wear for years and years and just fancied a change. I’ve gone back to it now Smile

I do like lots of other Elemis things though.

The Elemis website often has a ‘Spend £x and get a free gift’ type offer. It usually five or six miniatures.

I do love elemis but not sure it's worth the £££ as there are many equally good products for cheaper. The only exception is the papaya enzyme peel which I absolutely love

I've been considering this one so will try it

OP if you've only been using soap and water then almost any moisturiser would benefit your skin, as would switching to soap free cleanser

Thank you everyone that’s very helpful. I don’t have money to waste and yes I agree that pretty much anything would be better than my current region nothing. I will look at QVC, I’ve never looked in there before as I thought it was just a tv selling channel.
