Olaplex advice please :)

My hairdresser doesn’t offer olaplex but I really want it done. I’m booked into my normal salon for highlights and cut soon.
If I go elsewhere for just the olaplex treatment, should I do it before or after my colour/cut appointment?
Thanks :)

There are different treatments numbered 1,2,3.

Olaplex 1 is a salon treatment which is added directly to the colour formula to 'protect' during the colouring process. I would recommend this if you are bleaching or colouring hair that is coarse or damaged or has been heavily processed (previous colouring/perming). It can be used as a preventative to damage, as well as restoring hair condition to already damaged hair. As your colourist does not offer Olaplex you would not be able to have this service.

Olaplex 2 can be applied at a salon at any time, think of this one as a stand alone treatment. (Almost like a mask treatment) You could have this at another salon on its own with no other service (cut/colour).
To note: Some people often have 1 and 2 together, if the salon providing colour offers Olaplex.

Olaplex 3 is a weekly at home treatment option. Again it is likely a weekly treatment to top up.

In your case, you would be able to have Olaplex 2 at another salon and consider the option of buying Olaplex 3 if you wanted to.

I would go to another salon to be honest. I think it would be too late to do it afterwards because the colour would have potentially damaged your hair by then.
