Large cup Sleep bra

gmailconfusion2 · 04/02/2020 19:52

So i'm currently pregnant and hit the wonderful heights of 36GG, which is causing nightmares at night when i sleep, mainly as somehow my husband keeps managing to roll onto my nipples.

To avoid murdering him can anyone suggest a soft non-wired bra/crop top i can sleep in. I've had a look on amazon and ebay, but most of them say they size small or up to 40inch band but D cup.

Im only 4 months in so can only imagine that the situation is going to get worse and i'd like to buy something that might last a bit longer than a month, especially as we are broke.

No suggestions I’m afraid but hoping someone comes up with something so going to follow!

ilovecherries · 04/02/2020 19:53

Royce do a soft cup bra that goes to a K cup. Yes, I have worn this. Also do a nursing version.

ilovecherries · 04/02/2020 19:54

BTW, it looks hideous. You’ve been warned!

gmailconfusion2 · 04/02/2020 19:55

@ilovecherries its just to sleep in, i don't care what it looks like!

Try Molke - they're soft but good support & are breastfeeding friendly. Great patterns too. Www.molke.co.uk

ilovecherries · 04/02/2020 19:56

As an alternative, Sainsburys crop tops (not the sports ones, the soft ones, will certainly stretch to you current size. I’d try the XL but they also do XXL. I don’t think you’d be comfortable outside in them, but you could sleep/lounge in them. They are very comfy.

Soontobe60 · 04/02/2020 19:58

Try one of those cheap supermarket pull on bras with the femoveable foam cups. I wear them to sleep in and though I'm a g cup, they hold everything in comfortably.

izzyb6488 · 04/02/2020 20:03

Im a similar size and found these from Avon comfortable to sleep in

@APurpleSquirrel i would love to try molke however given the cost, and the fact that i imagine im probably going to go up further i can't afford them at this stage. I was a 30G in october.

@ilovecherries i will have a look

@soontobe60 i tried asda earlier and had no luck finding any, they were all too lose around the band to hold me in, i'll have to venture to some other places and try Thankyou!

Bravissimo do sleep bras in that size. The one I have is quite thick through - I use it for lounging as it’s too hot to sleep in.

totallyradllama · 04/02/2020 23:02

Def recommend Royce for daytime if not for sleep.

Maybe bravissimo for sleep

DarkLikeVader · 05/02/2020 16:16

If you were 30g before and now 36gg that would mean your back size has gone up while your cup size decreased in real terms. Have you tried boob or bust measuring method? Or pop into bravissimo for a fitting. I’m pregnant and sleep in a wired sports bra - well fitted it should be an issue - or bravissimo sell cup sized pj tops x

StatisticallyChallenged · 05/02/2020 16:51

30G to 36GG is totally possible in pregnancy - 30G would be 30 under, 39 over (roughly) whereas 36gg is roughly 36/46. So she has gained in both measurements. I'd say for 4 month the back growth is quite rapid though, but it does depend how you are carrying.

TBH, you're going to be limited at that size for cheap options. The Bravissimo zara is good and gives a decent shape. Freya also do a stretchy maternity bra/crop top called chi linky which whilst the uplift isn't amazing was pretty good for me as a sleep bra. I was a 32Kish by the end of pregnancy and the XL was fine cup wise, loose on the band but fine for around the house and sleeping so might not be a bad place to start. It's also a good one for those very early post birth days when your size is all over the place.

I hated molke, btw - I just can't get them on without dislocating something!

Januarydontbecool · 05/02/2020 17:05

I hesitate to recommend M&S because of their changing room policy, but I stocked up some time ago on their pyjama tops with “secret support.”

It’s like wearing a camisole with a crop top sewn inside. I can’t see any on their website at the moment but you’d get the same effect for £10 with this vest. They go up to size 28, and size 24 is fine for a 38GG.

Despite the name it doesn’t give much support, if any, but it does contain a larger bust comfortably while you sleep.

Now you know what to look for it might be worth searching for other brands.

YorkshirePud1 · 05/02/2020 17:13

I'm pregnant and currently 38DD. I bought these in medium size and I love them to sleep in - my boobs are so painful at night if I don't wear anything. These have really helped. Worth a try?

@DarkLikeVader that is boob or bust. I have HG and so far not gained any weight so assume its organ rearrangment.

for work using 34Gg, although that's getting too small on one side, but come the evening the 34 back is too tight hence 36.

I don't like sleeping in anything but need to control them somehow as I'm sure you can imagine the pain of having squished nipples!

Everyone else thanks, I will have a mosey tonight and see what I can order!

A bigger bed as well Grin
And congratulations

DarkLikeVader · 05/02/2020 22:38

Ah wicked. Calculations are not my strong point at the end of the day Blush so as lo big as you’re happy! Def try bravissimo then - order several sizes and styles on line and send back if you can’t get to a shop? Their sleep bras are comfy Smile

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 07/02/2020 08:17

Last time I was on Sainsbury's they had some really nice pull on bras that would be perfect for sleeping in.
