Not stylish but help needed please!

Not at all stylish but hopefully somebody can help.

I want a hoodie. A soft, snuggly, over the head hoodie that I can slob about in at home, or stick under a biker jacket when travelling or just popping to the shop.

I want it to be not cropped, and not polyester and not have writing all across it unless it is 'good' writing rather than a brand name. Ideally it will be at least 50% cotton, but hopefully more. It will be either black, or grey or maybe a dusty pink or burgundy.

Where can one find such a garment, please?

Try searching for what you want on shopstyle.co.uk

Thank you.

I’ve got a good one from Hush. I believe it’s fully cotton. It’s not too thick so not overly warm. But it’s not fluffy/soft. Mine is in a very soft salmony/pinky sort of colour but they had a khaki one as well. I bought mine about six months ago so I don’t know if they are carrying them now.

Ninkanink · 04/02/2020 18:44

Just checked and it’s 80/20 cotton/polyester.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/02/2020 18:59

Thank you. The last one I tried from Hush was too thick/hot, so that one sounds better. Will have a look.

I've got a lovely one from J Crew (£30 in the sale) with a velvet lining.

Have you had a look at uniqlo? The Uniqlo U style ones are my favourite but they're not always in stock. The link above looks good though, and 100% cotton.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/02/2020 19:27

Thank you. I'm not often a fan of Uniqlo stuff. Will look at J Crew but would prefer to buy in store rather than online.

No luck so far. I've seen lots of horrible polyester ones, and several scratchy and faded cotton ones. Not seen anything even vaguely nice yet.

Next have lots of hoodies in, and several in dusky pink or grey.

Veterinari · 20/02/2020 08:58

I have a nice fatface one from a few years ago. I'd also try white stuff.

Otherwise look at outdoor brands

Look at Ninety Percent.

This?

Or this?

Decorhate · 20/02/2020 09:15

I got one from Zara recently- but grey knitted fabric rather than cotton jersey. It is mostly synthetic fibres as wool makes me itch. But it is soft & not bulky m.zara.com/uk/en/knit-hoodie-p09598179.html?v1=41437728&v2=1445718

ToftheB · 20/02/2020 09:15

Weekday? You'd have to buy online though I think ...

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/02/2020 10:00

Thanks. Will look at the links. Not willing to pay White Company prices, or, indeed to shop there at all, now I've discovered they donate to the Tory party.

Cos?
I didn't link before as it's only in navy or white but if you're struggling?
80% cotton, fleecy lining.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/02/2020 10:46

That's the nicest so far, Flo. I hate navy though, and can't be trusted with white. Annoying that they don't have other colours.

OP posts:
Floisme · 20/02/2020 10:51

Yeah that's annoying - they've got a few things this season I'd be very tempted by (even though I'm skint) but the colour options are shite.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/02/2020 16:47

I haven't been in there for ages. Still kicking myself for not buying a dress in the summer that I fell in love with but didn't buy because it showed the tops of my arms. I'm an idiot.

OP posts:
Destinesia · 20/02/2020 17:08

this?

M&S, plain grey 100% cotton. (Have a 20% code too if you want it)?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/02/2020 21:05

Thanks. I'll check it out in store, but it looks as if it's quite thin and not snuggly. Cheers for the code offer, but I think I've still got one too.

Miseryisabutterfly · 20/02/2020 21:47

& other stories? First and last are 60% cotton and the second is a wool blend.
