Grey hair, go darker or go blonde?

So I'm 26, my natural hair colour is dirty blonde but I've had dark hair for 5 years and most people say I suit dark so much better, however I've left my natural hair to grow out so if it's in a ponytail, only the pony is brown lol, and I kinda like it.

However I've got tons of grey hair and now I can't wait my hair down, I'm wearing it up everyday. I don't know if I should keep dying it dark or maybe get it professionally lighter? as I heard blonde is easier to maintain grey hairs?

Blonde the greys will show quicker in dark hair. I’m naturally brunette and decided nearly 2 years ago to stop using hair dye. I’m light grey at the front but still have a lot of brown, still considering getting some blonde highlights to blend it a little.

Blonde! I’ve been blonde for years and when I started getting more grey I went darker - big mistake! The grey shows up horribly whereas with the blonde hair, the greyer you go the less your roots show up!

Highlights are better than any solid colour so you don’t get the line of grey on your parting

I have blonde highlights to soften the grey.

Yeh, greys will show less on a paler colour

Blonde, though be really careful about how many! My hair got absolutely ruined when my hairdresser insisted on putting "just a few" packets in every 6 weeks. Within 2 years, it was 90% blonde and like straw. It was horrendous, and I ended up having to grow the lot out and have around 6" cut off. Took nearly 2 years to grow out, btw.

I've now got my own colour (a cool mid brown), a lot of silver grey and it's blended with warm chocolate colour lowlights and two different blonde highlights. It looks a lot more natural, and although it's visibly grey, it's in fab condition and I really like it.

Blonde. Darker often goes green
