I have a dark plum polka dot hard bag looking a bit tatty though it's got lots of compliments over the years. I want a work bag to keep for years that I live that fits a petite laptop in.

Budget of up to £100 I reckon

Following with interest as I always find work bags too heavy, too ugly or not hard wearing enough! I'm stuck with the standard longchamp at the mo!

friskybivalves · 02/02/2020 18:45

Knomo or cos backpack?

irregularegular · 02/02/2020 18:46

Love my Knomo bag!

nevernotstruggling · 02/02/2020 19:49

Definitely not a backpack that's bit too utility for me!

I was considering a longchamp

I use a MiaTui one.

KhoPeePee · 02/02/2020 19:54

Dr Martens burgundy leather backpack is lovely (even if you are not normally a backpack person).

KitKatBox · 02/02/2020 19:55

I have the backpack version of this as my daily work bag which you won't like, this is the tote.

@NorthernGravy @Sickofpineneedles now you're talking!! And these are very reasonable thank you

Mia Tui don't last long. The 'leather' starts to peel off with everyday use especially if you carry heavy things in them. I have had several. They also have hardly any pockets.

Ellapaella · 02/02/2020 21:25

I have one of these, fits a laptop no problem and a great sustainable brand. They are made from recycled plastic. I've had mine a while and it's incredibly hard wearing and looks good. https://rokalondon.com

Settlersofcatan · 03/02/2020 08:39

I like visconti bags

Outedsochanged · 03/02/2020 08:46

These bags are fab, but a bit more than your price range. Made from old fire hoses they are incredibly hard wearing.

Another vote for Mia Tui. I love mine.

Iggly · 03/02/2020 08:51

I have this from John Lewis

wonderpants · 03/02/2020 08:53

My Mia Tui still looks perfect after 2 years of daily use lugging a laptop and various other stuff about.
My best ever bag I think!
I have a silver Jenny!

Eurotrotters · 03/02/2020 09:04

I love my Knomo backpack. I also want the organiser.

Anna783426 · 03/02/2020 09:08

I use this form Fossil - lasted two years so far and I love it! www.fossil.com/en-gb/products/camilla-convertible-backpack/ZB7517001.html

strictlymomdancing · 03/02/2020 09:28

I have a mia tui but it isn't big enough for everything I need so although its strong, I need something bigger. I think the one I have is a Jenny.

Following with interest as I need a new laptop bag that carries extras. Is there any way of finding out what the bags can hold - it seems Mia Tui are the only ones that do that.

Howdidthathappen1 · 03/02/2020 09:37

Sorry to jump on but I'm struggling too! The laptop itself is the easy bit to fit in its the stupid bulky cables and headset that need to go with it that I struggle with. Need something with large pockets or compartments

AQuickNameChange1 · 03/02/2020 09:57

I've had this one 4 years and going strong. The leather has a very lovely worn look to it now and it fits my laptop, charger cables, a4 notebooks and lunch in easily.

I love my knomo backpack, I carry a small crossbody too.

Knomo do plenty of handheld styles and are great quality.

This is mine www.johnlewis.com/antler-urbanite-evolve-backpack/p3318225

I do a lot of travel by train so comfort trumps style, but this one is pretty good and has an integral laptop sleeve.
