Eyeshadow primer?

I bought some nyx eyeshadow primer after reading good reviews about it - wish I hadn't bothered as my lovely bright eyeshadow looked like I hadn't bothered after a couple of hours. Can you recommend an eyeshadow primer that actually makes your eyeshadow last? Preferably without spending a lot of money on it

The best one I have used is Urban Decay Primer Potion. It’s not the cheapest but it lasts for ages.

Yep I came on to say the Urban Decay one too. My eyeshadow looks exactly the same at bedtime as it did when I finished putting it on in the morning. Amazing stuff.

Or cheaper is the maybelline tattoo eyeshadow pots - there's a creme nude and a creme rose which both work

I blot some pressed powder into my eyelids after foundation and before eyeshadow. I imagine it does the same job.

@Lamentations I use concealer these days before work but if OP doesn’t like the NYX primer then she probably needs a bit more

Ah I knew you were going to say urban decay - I used to use it but didn't really want to spend that much as I don't use it very often.

Concealer/foundation/powder doesn't do the job unfortunately. My lovely MUG foiled eyeshadow disappears on me without primer.

I have recently tried the Bare Minerals one and it seemed to do the trick. I got a sample when I bought some bronzer.

How much is the bare minerals one! I can’t imagine it being much cheaper than UDPP unless you can get a smaller one

The smash box one is brilliant. Tiny tube but you only need a tiny amount... It lasts forever! It's about the only thing that keeps my Eyeshadow in place and un creased

Urban decay but I’ve recently bought the bare minerals one just for a change and it’s as good but don’t think it’ll last as long as not a great applicator

UD - another vote for it. Honestly, so many mention it as it's the best!

NARS is superb, the best I’ve tried with the urban decay primer in Eden a close second. I’ll buy the UD one again when my NARS is finished as NARS aren’t cruelty free anymore
