Can you recommend a curl hold product?

My hair is naturally curly/wavy. The curly girl method does not work for me. I need a product to either use on it wet to scrunch In or when it’s dry, even after sometimes I put a tong through it something to hold the curl that doesn’t give it a wet look? I like this gel spray but it does not hold the curl....

I love Eco gel, I put a flare blob in my hair it feels really sticky like there's to much but dries fine sometimes I need to scrunch it a bit to get rid of the stiff look. I bought some mousse recently and noticed how fluffy hair looked in comparison to using the gel when it looks defined.

I like the Boots curl cream and the TIGI curl gel

Sickofpineneedles · 02/02/2020 16:05

Large blob 🤦‍♀️

BunnytheBlueWhale · 02/02/2020 16:07

I’m tempted to try the Eco stuff as looks nice and cheap!

Aveda Be Curly is great. It is pricey but you only need a little so it lasts forever!

KMS THERMASHAPE

It's amazing ....

GHD curl hold spray

motherofgod2 · 02/02/2020 18:24

Second the Eco Gel but I use the Olive Oil one. V05 Mega Hold gel is also really good but sticker than the Eco. I find my hair gets on better with it when it's longer for some reason

Charliebigpotatoes · 02/02/2020 18:26

Thirding the eco gel. I use the argan oil one and my hair loves it

BunnytheBlueWhale · 02/02/2020 19:27

How have I never heard of this eco gel??

Sickofpineneedles · 02/02/2020 19:58

Bunny 🤫 don't tell anyone about it!
I think it can pass you by the design of the tub and the fact it is cheap make it appear like it will be cheap and rubbish but it is my go to product, I've tried way more expensive and sophisticated ones but this is the best.

Thanks. I have boots curl cream and it’s ok.... but too ‘wet’. I have got ghd curl hold today as bought the ghd soft curl tong but it’s crap. Smells nice but not held the curl at all. I will try that eco stuff though! Not so bad trying new and risking failure when it’s only couple £!

People used to go on about the Boots one and I liked that too. I prefer the TIGI curls rock curl defining cream, it’s my fave, but not cheap. Will be buying this next time I’m in Boots!
