My best friend's wedding

My friend is getting married, so I am helping her find a dress for her - , over 50, second marriage for both and adult children, register office in the summer, budget under £150. Would consider 2nd hand (aka preloved)

Doesn't want full.length or white, preference for pale colours and embellished materials, maybe phase 8? she is a tall apple shape, can wear medium heels.

She is proving hard to please. Any suggedtions? Thanks!

I'm over 50 and I got married last year and wore a mother of the bride type outfit. I wore my hair up with a beaded clip and carried a small posy. Free looked similar to this

That's the type of thing she is looking for, but without a defined waist. The beaded clip is a good idea. She was musing on having a fascinator.

Nancy Mac has this sort of thing, and they have some sale items too. Worth a look. Trouva has loads of independent boutiques on there so it should be worth a look too.

I tried a fascinator but it was very aging!

And now she's changed her mind and wants an Autumn wedding. Honestly, self, self, self!
