Anyone know anything about (men's) watches?

Hi, it's my DH's 40th soon and I've been racking my brain for what to buy and would like to get him a new watch as he's had his current one for years but I don't know anything about the best brand/style to get, please help!

The budget is about £150, not much at all for a nice watch I know but if possible I'd like to find something from a decent quality brand, with a leather strap, it doesn't need to have any special features - he doesn't go swimming or diving etc. He's got a very 'classic' style so something simple but nice would be fab. TIA!

My DH collects watches so I have bought many a watch on my time. Based on your budget I’d have a look at Mondaine. They’re lovely watches based on Swiss railway clocks. See here...

If you don’t like that, maybe look at Casio G shock or edifice.

I bought DH this for Xmas and he loves it...

Sorry just realised I didn’t link the actual Mondaine I was thinking of...

It’s £25 over your budget.

Mondaine is a good shout.

I have a number of Seiko watches which would fit in your budget. Have a look for Seiko 5 (that's a huge range of really reliable good value automatic watches).

There is ONE watch in the sale at Christopher Ward that might fit the bill. Lovely great quality watches and British if that matters.
