Avon recommendations?

I've just had an Avon catalogue put through my door for the first time in years. Some of the products look pretty good. Does anyone have any recommendations/things to stay away from?

I bought from them for a bit in the 70s! I’m amazed they are still going. You don’t see their products recommended anywhere. Personally I’d swerve them. It’s very cheap but what about quality? They are on line too but you might want to help the rep make some money.

A lady at work always brings a catalogue in. So, occasionally I'll buy something. Their gel shine nail polish is good, and I like the shave oil for doing my legs/underarms in the shower. Leaves them feeling soft. I also buy the eyebrow powder and wax duo. Haven't bought much else but I know a few people who rate one of the mascaras.

Their red matte lipsticks are brilliant. The colour lasts all day and I always get asked where they're from when I'm wearing one.

I've just had a couple of the gel eyeliners that I was very impressed with, very deep colour and long lasting. I like the Skin So Soft range too.
The make up can be a bit hit an miss because the colours in the brochure are not always a true match, I brought a couple of lippies and one is lovely and the other went straight into the bin.
I used to like their nail polishes but they mush have changed something in the formula because I really didn't rate the late one I brought.

Get stuff when its on offer if you just want to try it.
