Doctor interview outfit?

I'm going for a specialty doctor job (for non medics - like a registrar but not in a training program). What do I wear?! A suit...? Or normal ward clothes (smart casual). Or somewhere in between the two?

Outfit ideas would be so helpful, I am clueless about clothes and struggle to look professional. Thank you...

Thinking back, I wore a suit for my reg training interview. But quite a few people went with smart dress and jacket.

More on the smarter side of smart casual. To be honest I would say suit or tailored dress.

I am a non medic sitting as a lay examiner on consultant assessment exams. I don't judge on appearance but the women applicants tend to wear a smart dress and jacket - think Hobbs vibe. Though you’re prob a few stages away from consultant level? Like i said I’m not a medic. I would go as smart as you can and well groomed (but no coloured nail polish).

Have you got a suit jacket of any sort?

I wore a smart dress with heels and a cardigan.
That was for a specialty doctor job last year, and I got it 😊
What specialty? (Just being nosey!)

I would be smart but not necessarily a suit. You want to feel comfortable and confident so I would wear something that made me feel great.
Good luck!
I am a GP and I am fascinated by what female medics wear. I think it would be a great study.
