I notice all the website sizes are in us sizes. If I'm a uk 14 what would that be do you think? A medium or a large? I can't follow their sizing chart!

When they list an item as a small medium or large though?

They have a size chart that converts US sizes here S is 8 or 10. M is 12 or 14. I find their website very easy to find info on.

Beware you have to pay for returns to the US, something like £16, and it takes an age to refund. I find sizing hit and miss at J Crew, the reviews are helpful but almost all are american and they use lb weight and US sizing references which can catch you out.

Net a Porter and Zalando stock J Crew and both do quick and free returns but their stock is limited.

You're better off shopping in Jigsaw, Hobbs or M&S. All stock similar style and quality.

We've got a JCrew in our local Uk town. No problem with returns.

@ittooshallpass lucky you! I have no easy access to a town and none closer than London that has a J Crew ( 3 hours on the train) so online shopping is only option. I wish they would rethink their returns policy and be more like bs ana republic. Whilst the quality is similar to Hobbs, jigsaw etc the range is completely different and miles ahead of M& S. I still wear stuff I bought in NYC J crew shop in 2008.
