Hello, could I get an opinion for which shoes to wear to an interview tomorrow please? I will be putting on a very light layer of tan so that I’m not quite so pale. And my mirrors a bit dusty so please disregard Smile

What is the job?
Personally, I would play it safe with the flats. However both look nice and you should go with whichever you feel most confident in. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for the reply. It’s for a trading services administration position in a food service wholesaler. I would really like it. General consensus seems to be the flats alright. Thanks a mill!

I'd go with the boots. The shoes look a bit too fancy for an interview, and the flats look insubstantial, and a bit too casual. The boots are plain and smart.

I think when it comes to interviews, you can’t risk showing your tattoo. (Sorry - personally, I like them. Other people have strong opinions about them.) I don’t think the boots go with the trousers unless you can guarantee that the trousers can remain over the top of the boot. The peekaboo ankle is a bit odd. Can you drop the hem of the trousers or are they stitched? The first shoes are lovely if you can walk elegantly and confidently in them and can cover the tattoo. (Make-up?) The flats aren’t appropriate.

This time of year, I'd go with the boots.

Summer, the flats.

Good luck!!!

managedmis · 31/01/2020 01:47

Yeah don't show the tattoo

Idontkowmyname · 31/01/2020 01:49

Another poster chiming in to say not to have the tattoo visible. Sad we are still saying this in 2020 though.

mnthrowaway202020 · 31/01/2020 06:44

The flats suit the most but your tattoo automatically makes your outfit casual/edgy vs smart/corporate. This could be a problem. Also they don’t really suit the time of year, there’s minimal coverage of your feet and you’re also wearing ankle grazers

The cut out heels are a no

The boots don’t really match the outfit but might be the best option out of the 3 regardless

Cambionome · 31/01/2020 07:07

I honestly wouldn't show your tattoo.

HeartZone · 31/01/2020 07:16

Boots definitely

Montyman · 31/01/2020 13:30

Thanks all, thought the tattoo was too much alright. I’m going to go with black tights and skirt. Thanks for the input, much appreciated!

I would say the boots!!

Yes they are a little dresssy but when I see a women dressy I always think " THEY HAVE THEIR SHIT TOETHER"

Hope the interview went well!
