Anyone had anything from Whistles?

I've seen a coat I like but it's not a brand I've bought from before. What's the quality like? (Items on eBay so cant try it on)!

Quality is good, tends to come up big.

You can always look on their website to see size guidelines and/or reviews on similar coats.

Quality used to be excellent but it's plummeted in recent years and is now a bit hit and miss. Tons of viscose that goes bobbly after a couple of washes and lots of synthetic mixes.

Well yes, you do have to pick fabrics carefully...

I’ve got a coat from there I bought ten years ago and I still wear it. Good quality.

DD has a faux fur from there and it's fabulous. I stroked a navy one longingly last week, it was so soft!

I buy quite a bit from Whistles. I think the sizing is inconsistent. Sometimes accurate, sometimes too big.

The quality is still good I think when compared to other stores. Never buy full price as they always have good stock levels and good reductions in the sale. The original prices are massively inflated.

I don't find the sizing that generous- average compared to other similar shops. Hobbs and Jigsaw are much more generously sized.

Disagree about sizing down - I would size up! I'm an 8-10 and was in there the other day and had to take a 12 in most tops.

I think sizing depends on if you shop in similarly generous shops eg monsoon and Hobbs which are also big for size

Quality has def gone downhill generally, but I would say the faux furs are an exception, they are really good quality. I've had a few over the years, and saw last seasons in person, and they were just as good.

I think they're true to size, although the fur will add bulk so if you are petite you might size down. You won't need bulky layers underneath, they are incredibly warm!
