I'm going round in circles here. I need a new bag.
I am replacing a black handbag that has been brilliant. It is this Hush Gabby bag but in a handbag size rather than the weekend bag. It's smart AND casual, has a zip so things are safe, I can just get the handles over my shoulder which is important. Obviously I've ruined it by overfilling it with the tons of crap I cart around, the medium sized ness of it is just too tempting. Also it's 4 years old and the hardware is looking shabby, the handles are wonky. It needs a break.
I am completely torn between these options:
- a little satchel, e.g. this one by Mimi Berry which I won't be able to fit liters of milk in (!) and so won't ruin as easily or this 'it' bag by APC but which I have heard can bite your hand a bit when you go to get your purse because the leather is rigid
- A tote bag like this Everlane tote or this Madewell tote
Or maybe something like the little satchel one but in tan, just for a change?
You can see my style is pretty minimalist. I would like to spend about £200 no more.
What would you do? Just to say, I obviously have 100,000 canvas tote bags I can use to cart all the crap around. I feel like I need some kind of Marie Kondo approach to bag hauling...
