Hi all.

I have a work party event on Saturday and nothing to wear. No time to go shopping. Style is more boho I guess and would need sleeves- as no jacket. Dress or jumpsuit?! Anyone? No budget as such!

Can you give more information on the type of event- evening or afternoon? What’s the venue? Has there been a dress code stipulated.

Afternoon into evening - formal but not ball gown formal I guess. Men will be in suits but not tux and ladies in a dress or jumpsuit- fairly conservative. But I don’t want to be boring either

Venue is a smart hotel and there will be canapés and supper

My fail safe in these events is either-

Maxi pleated skirt in a wintery plum with chic little blouse tucked in, something silk, pointy AF ankle books and a smart boxy clutch.

Or long sleeve jumpsuit and little slip on sling back pointy shoes, big statement earrings from Zara and boxy clutch.

Thank you- I’m just all out of inspiration and hate not being able to try things on! Am a hourglass 12 and can look pretty matronly if I’m not careful!

Think the skirt outfit is my fave.
