WWYD eyebrow thread gone wring

I always have my eyebrows threaded and tinted, I went to a different place yesterday, in a large beauty store, and I’m not happy. They’re different shapes, chunks missing, patchy dye and a gap ☹️.
I want to go back and I think they’re so bad I should get a refund and if they’re decent they should compensate me (maybe an eyebrow pencil?) so I can at least draw them back in.
My DH says there’s no point in going back as they won’t want to refund me and they’ll more than likely argue with me in the shop, and to just write the £15 off.
What would you do, leave it or go back in?

Go back. Say you are unhappy and want to speak to the manager. They will probably refund you but I’m not sure you will get a free eyebrow pencil.

Thanks, not actually bothered about they pencil tbh. Just trying to think how it can be made right in the short term ☹️ I’ve attached a pic so you can soo I’m not exaggerating. They’ve threaded away to nothing in one at the end and there’s an actual gap. Also took chunks of skin out.

Why did you not say anything at the time. Tbh i wouldnt blame them for being annoyed that you paid and left at the time, and then came back saying youd chamged your mind and its not ok.

Its either bad enough to complain and you do so at the time, or its a bit shit but you move on.

Every time ive had my brows threaded, they always give you a mirror and ask if its ok ...

Wonkywyebrows · 26/01/2020 10:10

I didn’t have my glasses on and she flashed the mirror at me really quickly. I didn’t really see how bad it was until I looked close up at hone.

OMG that’s awful. It wasn’t Blink, was it?

Londonborncatty · 26/01/2020 10:14

Go back and say how unhappy you are. Ask them how they are going to sort it and take it from there. Keep the photographs, you could also send to head office via social media!

You will be able to fill them in for the time being but can see how you would be upset. It’s often only when we get home that we have chance to really look at them, so I wouldn’t worry about that.
You may find they are very helpful when you go back.

Wonkywyebrows · 26/01/2020 10:14

DirtyDeeds no it wasn’t. The other one is thicker but with a gap at the bridge of my nose. FFS.

Thanks Londonborncatty I actually don’t want them to go anywhere near me again.
The ‘spots’ on the picture are chunks of skin that have been nipped out of me whilst threading.
I’m actually angry that I paid and it’s cost me to ruin my brows!

Blink did something similar to mine. I was given a free pencil and offered three treatments to rectify.
I took the pencils and declined the treatments.

I’ve been back and spoke to the manager. She agreed immediately it was unacceptable, and went to process a refund. She offered a different person to try and correct it but I didn’t want them removing any more eye brow. However they only wanted to refund me the cost of the threading, not the tint, so £7.50 not the full £15. I said that’s not good enough as the dye was patchy too, which she agreed with, so a full refund was given.
I asked what they could suggest for putting it right, and suggested I needed products (self tint, pencil), she baulked a bit at that and said they employed a different firm to do brows so it would cost them if they did that. I asked did she think it was fair that I put it right at my own expense then, and to be fair she said no. Eventually she got authorisation for a £10 gift card to buy products which I accepted as I thought I could get what I needed for £10.
Afterwards She told me it was the 3rd complaint this weekend and they’d be taking it forwards with the company. So all resolved fairly & amicably, and I’m glad I didn’t just accept the sub standard service and just swallow the charge.

You were absolutely right to complain. Well done.

MissClareRemembers · 04/02/2020 22:06

Was it in Superdrug? I had the worst threading experience there. Never again.

Although not as dramatic as the place that decided to remove a skin tag from my face by ‘threading’ it. Sooooo much blood.
