Has anyone tried them? I'm sceptical but I like the idea of them and I'm currently being chased around Facebook by miss Sophie ads so I just ordered a set.

Anyone?

If the style and beauty crowd hasn't caught on to them I'm thinking they are probably shyteGrin

I’m seeing these ads as well and I like the colours they do, but thought I’d shop around. So far I haven’t found any other brands that do tasteful everyday colours. Please let me know if you do try them! I might keep looking for now

I've ordered a set so will let you know. My nails tend to be quite weak so I thought a wrap might work for them. I'm not convinced I'll be any good at applying them though...

I also looked at other brands and a lot of them seemed quite gimmicky with seasonal designs etc rather than fairly plain colours.

@Jojo156 reporting back. They arrived today and my fingernails are painted so I've just done a quick practice run on a couple of toenails. It was actually surprisingly easy to apply.

They sent me the ones I chose plus a free set. I tried the free ones for my practice run. I'm trying to attach a picture but MN isn't letting me at the moment.

Ooh I like! They look good

eurochick · 13/02/2020 11:49

I'll carry on mostly taking to myself....

I'm pleasantly surprised. My nails are really weak and break easily but feel strengthened by these. I'm a week into the set I tried on my fingers and will remove soon due to regrowth but aside from that the wraps still look perfect and no nails have snapped in the week I have had them on.

This particular design isn't great on my skin colour but I like the principle.

Hey thanks for sharing! Sorry I’m a little late responding but I missed the notifications. More likely to have a go myself now Smile

I bought some cheapo ones from Amazon and EBay. I love them, so much easier to do and no faff.

TheNewMrsTomHardy · 19/02/2020 01:34

EBay and EBay again

BlodwynBludd · 19/02/2020 05:58

How do you apply and remove them? Do they damage I nail?

Spam88 · 19/02/2020 09:30

I've tried many over the years (used to have a nail blog) and the quality varies massively. I found cheap water decals to be easiest to use (generally bought from Born Pretty Store), although they're thin so won't give you the extra strength to your nails if that's important to you. Depends on your nails as well, mine are very curved so any of the thicker wraps just wouldn't sit nicely on me at all.
