Something that really strengthens your nails

Looking for recs for a cream or similar to use on my nails.

They keep breaking/splitting on the side of the nail.

Then often I'll unwittingly catch the tear on something, say I'm pulling on a jumper or tights, and it will tear right into the nail and I'll have to use nail clippers to try and clip of the bit with the tear in it and sometimes that means going quite far into the nail so the underneath is exposed which hurts a bit.

I suspect using nail polish and remove makes it worse as it probably weakens the nail.

So TLDR what is out there and effective that will make my nails robust?

Because I get this happening so often my nails are always short as anything, like someone who would have bitten them down, because I have to clip one nail right down, then it looks weird if all the other 9 are longer so I have to clip them all short.

Bumping as I'd like to know too!

Me too!

Mine are soft/bendy, they flake, they chip, they snap off. They're just horrendous.

I don't use it now because I can't be bothered but baby oil always worked really well for me

Try Perfectil hair skin and nails supplements.
Dead cheap and works a treat

I use CND RXX nail rescue oil after seeing it recommended by Sally whatshername in the Guardian.
I’m on medication which makes my nails brittle but this really helps.

Any hair/skin/nails supplement with biotin.

I rub this in every night, it seems to work.
