Flattering swimsuit needed

Where is the best place to get a flattering swimsuit? Not for sport, just for taking the baby to the pool.

I'm a 14/16 with a long body and carrying a bit around my middle. I also have a c-section 'shelf' which I'm quite self conscious of. I like the idea of a piece with shorts too.

Well... as luck would have it I am same size and tall and just got one from Boden clearance. A few long body ones left. A total bargain!

I bought patterned tankini tops, think the brand is Fantasie, it has ruched sides so you can adjust the wearable length/ pleat the fabric over problem bits. Then M&S high waisted bikini pants, plain black or navy.

TK Maxx

Boden! They are amazing. Just got one in their sake for £30 and it's the best cozzie I've ever owned.

I also have a lovely c section shelf and it holds it in nicely.

They do come up small, however. I'm a pretty standard 12 in any shop and needed a 14 in the Santorini style.

goldpendant · 24/01/2020 18:43

Boden, Santorini style, one size up (or your larger size, 16). Enjoy!

Notlostjustexploring · 24/01/2020 18:45

I got a rather lovely one from bravissimo, specifically bought for going to baby classes. Hid my c section shelf quite well and the top of the swimming costume basically contains a well fitting bra. It's actually the first swimming costume I've not felt insanely exposed in!

Figleaves do swimsuits of various brands in bra sizes.

Next have a lovely white floral 'Ruched Side Shape Enhancing Swimsuit' which is £32.

There are lots more suitable swimsuits on the Next site including from Boden.

I just bought a striped one from Tesco with a belt to nip in the waist. Sooo happy with it and searched all over the internet for one, only to find it whilst buying potatoes Smile

I also give a vote for Boden - I have several from there and I love them. Depends what you want to spend but Boden quality is good on this. I bought one on Ebay, unused, so always worth looking there first.

So many good suggestions here, thank you!

I got the Boden Santorini for half price! Ordered the long size in both a 16 and a 14 (wishful thinking), so fingers crossed!

You will love it!

I just wanted to say that I ordered a santorini in the sale for £24 off the back of reading this thread.
It came yesterday and they had sent a completely different swimsuit! Not even a santorini!
However, I emailed them and they said the one I wanted is out of stock, so I can choose any santorini that is on their website at full price and they’ll give it to me for £24!

What fantastic customer service! (Although I’m a bit gutted that I don’t like any of the current styles as much the one I originally ordered)

I’ve never ordered from Boden before but I wouldn’t hesitate to now.

@Eminybob That's such good service!
