I am so impressed with the Revlon Pro Collection One Step Dryer Volumiser

I have shoulder length curly hair that I like to straighten at times. I've used dryer and straighteners for years and think my hair looks too flat with it. I tried the Babylis Big Curl but it was crap as the bristles were too soft and my hair couldn't get any traction with it. I debated getting a Dyson Airstyler but could not risk the investment incase it doesn't work.

I had seen the Revlon one on YouTube/ Facebook etc and thought I would give it a go (its cheaper on amazon) and have to say I am in love. I used my regular hairdryer to get my hair about 85% dry and then finished it off with the Revlon brush. It took me less than half an hour from start to finish and I look like I have had a proper blow dry at the hairdressers, rather than the over straightened look. Because it is so big, it doesn't as close to the roots as you would with straighteners, but it is pretty impressive.

I have it too, but i have long hair and i think my heavy hair drags it down so i dont get the volume look... BUT im having my haor cut tomorrow to shoulder length Grin cant wait to try it on my shorter hair, i need to look at youtube for doing it on shorter hair (im having it done to shoulder length, currently half way down my back)

Just realised i typed shoulder length twice

It’s literally transformed me, I spent £600 last year on blow dry’s ... this was £30 I think over Christmas. Thoroughly recommend it

I got one for Christmas but the motor burned out after 5 uses! (I always used it on the highest heat as have very thick hair). When I returned it to Argos, they said they'd had lots of returns and have now removed from their website.

So annoying though, as I loved the effect (have above shoulder length bob that, like you, can look flat if straightened).

I did get a Babyliss hot brush thing as a replacement but it just doesn't cut the mustard....

I’ve got the babyliss one but haven’t had chance to use it yet!

NorthernGravy · 24/01/2020 13:25

@MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet oh no! That’s annoying! Fingers crossed I haven’t got a duff one. I do have thick hair so it’ll be put through it’s paces.

I've got one for my mid length bob. I like the way it styles but it's fried my ends, now contemplating a Dyson Air wrap.

I've tried so many hair gadgets over the years and this (and my ghd wide plate straightners) is the biggest success. You get swishy, fab hair with very little effort. I have thick hair so do section it but it's fool proof!! Best but ever.

Is it any good on fine straight hair?
