Why would they do this?

I recently ordered the bikini bottoms in this photo. I know they’re not particularly lovely but they go with a masectomy bikini top that I found after much, much searching.

Why would they do this?

I thought I’d have another look at it as it hasn’t arrived yet and I’m dithering about it. Upon further inspection the back of the bikini bottoms look like this! Wtf would they do this? Pretty sure my arse crack will go all the way to the waistband. I’m now wondering if I have a longer arse crack than the average woman or if they were specifically designed to have a peekaboo crack effect. So irritating!

🤣🤣 sorry no advice but just made me laugh!

😂😂 sorry, no advice either, but this is brilliant and made me giggle! My crack would also take up the majority of the mesh, you are not alone at least 😂

Eewww...Crack Cleavage.
Cancel your order!!

Apologies, I have nothing to offer other than thinking this is the best thing I've ever read on MN😂😂

They seem like a high waisted or high leg fit so possibly above your crease. But I’m not sure what you were expecting when buying something sheer/mesh - hardly the most modest of styles to begin with.

dontgobaconmyheart · 24/01/2020 00:14

Haha OP Confused what on earth were they thinking. Do they come separately? I'd just buy a separate pair of black briefs, surely if they go with the top almost anything might?

I wasn’t expecting them to be modest. I’ve had a masectomy and after a long slog of being incredibly ill I’ve come out the other side the slimmest I’ve been since I was a teenager (and hairless!). So I wanted something relatively revealing without going for a thong or anything. These looked perfect until I actually looked at the back of them. After much juggling with mirrors and tape measures last night I can confirm that my arse crack continues for an inch past the widest part of my hips. So definitely going into the mesh. I’ll have to get an arse modesty panel.
