Buying now for next winter

Any one buying things now to wear next winter?
There are some bargins for hiking boots and check coats but wondering if they are only for this year
What do you think?

No I only buy what I need know unless it's something that would need replacing the following year. I used to have overshopping issues which are now under control so I'm wary of justifying purchases.

I do this - I will buy in the sales for next winter , especially expensive items like coats. Will try to buy more classical things though, not high fashion.

Yes I buy in advance and I only buy what I need. It saves me a lot of money. I also buy ds clothes a year in advance.

I used to but find it a false economy as there would always be something more current I liked better the following year and I'd regret it/not enjoy using it so much. I am a fairly classic dresser and find that still to be the case as I think often it's the cut or style/length that dates, especially with footwear or knitwear/coats/bags. Definitely wouldnt buy prints or unusual colours to put away.

Things I would and do still buy though are non fashion items really - if they were a legitimate bargain- basic waterproof coat, thick socks, tights, gloves, warm loungewear that I get use out of at home and so on.

Seems pointless to be holding onto stock which you will not wear till next year. Your style, tastes and body shape may well change between now and then. Plus its only January it won't be getting warmer for another 2-3 months so if you do buy it, wear it now.

Yes I do. I think most my cashmere has been bought on sale.My current winter coat was bought in spring two years ago and I have bought a dress for a ball I know I am attending in October in the sales.
