Sex Education

I really love some of the wardrobe pieces on the Netflix show Sex Education. Specifically the 70s style tops/t shirts/sweater vests with retro coloured stripes (in orangy, yellow, brown etc). I also love Gillian Anderson's huge circular leather bag. Where can I buy similar pieces? I'm not very good at searching for things online so thought I'd ask for help here. Thanks in advance!

It depends where you are.
But there is alot of vintage kilo sales.
Where you can buy a kilo of clothing for around a tenner or similar, I'm more into 50s fashion so I dont get to pick up alot but there is always LOTS of 70s and 80s clothing and st a very good price.
Maybe see if there is one local to you?

The clothes are 80s, styled up. For original 80s clothes you need to trawl the second had shops, I don't mean charity shops, although you could get lucky, but places like Beyond Retro. Depends where you live but places like Brighton, Bristol, Manchester have loads of those kind of vintage shops, and of course London.

For new versions, well it's the height of fashion at the moment. Asos and Top Shop have loads of stuff.

The key is in the styling though, to make it look how they wear it on SE you have to be brave and do the whole look. This is about menswear, but a good article highlighting the styling; tones, prints, layering etc which might help
