Has anyone successfully shrunk their clothes?

On purpose I mean Smile
I lost 2 stone last year and have kept it off for 6 months. I've dropped 2 dress sizes and sadly can't afford to replace all my clothes! I've got a few things I really like, t shirts, jumper dresses and blouses that I would still love to wear. Has anyone ever shrunk these or similar items? I tried tumble drying a couple of the t shirts but no difference.

I took my favourites into my sewing shop. I'd dropped two sizes. Cost me £10 per item so only took in the things I loved and that were more expensive to replace to make it worth while.

This isn't likely to work. Even if something did shrink, the fabric won't be the same and the garment would be distorted.

Definitely take to a seamstress- much better than trying to shrink them.
