Is this normal for laser hair removal

Just had my first appointment two days ago, none of the hair has fallen out

From watching youtube beauty vloggers I was under the impression the hair goes through a shedding phase after each session?
My underarms just look like I haven’t shaved for two days, no difference at all

I have used a IPL machine and they didn't fall out but they grew back lighter, thinner and sparser each time... until there was little to no hair left.

Yes it's normal - when I had laser my hair didn't fall out until a few sessions in.

My hair didn't fall out straight away... it just fell out as it naturally would and didn't regrow.

My hairs started falling out a week after my first session.

Normal. You need to wait and have 6 sessions spaced exactly 6 weeks apart. I noticed a difference after my third session.

I understood laser is a long term process but I had always presumed it’d remove the current visible hair temporarily too (e.g. like waxing would)

I have had electrolysis done too which although is a much slower process at least it removes hair in the short term (as well as long term)

Mine tends to fall out 7-10 days after a treatment

Normal, you have to shave it off (don’t pluck or wax), then will shed/not regrow back
