Birthday dinner help!

NoNameIdeas · 20/01/2020 22:36

Ahhh help! Going for dinner on Saturday for my birthday but no idea what to wear!
I'm turning 36 next week, roughly 5'6 and a 12/14, not a set budget but ideally not crazy expensive! We are going to the Ivy in the Lanes (Brighton) if that helps...
Lost all sense of style and feeling old so would love to try and look amazing (well as amazing as I can!)
Thanks for any help

What is your general style when going out? I tend to wear leather look leggings/ coated jeans with heels and a top.

Also bumping for you for more stylish MNers to come along Grin.

What features do you like to show off? What do you want to hide? What shape are you? Apple? Hourglass? Pear? What colurs suit you best?
It’s hard to do links for ideas without more info - let me know and I will come back in the morning with ideas Smile

Thanks both!
I don't really have a going out style anymore...I guess it's normally a dress but not sure what suits me anymore.
I am a curvy 12/14, not so keen on my stomach (still rocking a bit of a c-section mum tum...)
Is that any help?!

Forgot colours; I am pretty pale with dark blonde hair. Tend to wear blues most I guess but open to trying new things! Not a massive animal print fan

My sister recently wore a lovely wrap style dress for a night out - similar...

Definitely have a look at the Girl In Mind website.

How about really wide leg statement trousers? With a nice black top and a bright bag / accessories?

FauxFox · 23/01/2020 12:40

That is a lovely dress @DrFoxtrot ...tempted!
