whoopstheregomyinsides · 20/01/2020 21:55

Got a voucher for £50
What do I need?
Is there any fancy shampoo/ conditioner?
Anything from Clarins/ Clinique/ Benefit I must have?
Don't need perfume or that would be my go to

Clarins Blue Orchid facial oil, it smells divine.

ChanChanChan · 21/01/2020 08:59

Some Boots branches stock Chanel, so maybe some of their lipstick or nail polish?

BlythesEyes · 21/01/2020 13:32

If you can't find anything just buy handwash, shower gel, shampoo etc and save the money from where you'd normally shop from and use it elsewhere.

amazedmummy · 21/01/2020 13:41

What's your hair like? Mine is quite dry and damaged so I love palmers shampoo and conditioner.

Chochito · 21/01/2020 13:43

Chanel nail polish is great.

You could also buy some perfume.

I really like the Garnier sheet masks.

HerculesJohn · 21/01/2020 16:41

A Babyliss Big Hair

BunnytheBlueWhale · 21/01/2020 21:32

There are a lot of good brands in boots now

I love Glamglow masks and also the soap & glory skincare as a cheap bit nice option.

I love Benefit, Chanel, Dior, Bare Minerals for make up

Make up brushes - real techniques

A hair tool - PP said big hair

Electric toothbrush

Otherwise just keep it and buy things as and when you need

Maraki · 21/01/2020 21:32

Revlon hot air brush or Babyliss Big Hair
Clarins facial oil (blue orchid is amazing)
Clinique take the day off cleansing balm
Dior lipstick
Chanel blusher or compact
Soap and Glory salt scrub, the one in the kilner jar
Clarins Body Rich moisturiser
Body lotion of your perfume

BunnytheBlueWhale · 21/01/2020 21:34

Perfume is a great idea!

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 21/01/2020 21:35

Check if there are any advent calendars left in stock

whoopstheregomyinsides · 22/01/2020 21:30

I’ve got:
Fine coloured hair prone to greasiness
Skin: combination. Still get spots but dry cheeks now
Very pale complexion
I might get a water flossing thing if practical but something like that oil would be a huge treat! Hmmm. I feel guilty spending on myself but it’s mine all mine so I shall do it.
I love benefits though - what are your best Benefit buys? Dandelion? I have their mascara, brow stuff, highlighter, porefessional already and Hoola bronzer

chocolatespiders · 22/01/2020 21:32

My boots has Champneys beauty place so I would get a facial

CointreauVersial · 22/01/2020 21:36

Ooh, following for ideas - I have £81-worth of Advantage Points and no idea what to spend them on.

In the past, I used to treat myself a nice pair of sunglasses with my points each year, but now I have prescription ones so that's no good anymore.

whoopstheregomyinsides · 22/01/2020 21:51

Flossing may have to remain manual 😬£££!

OP posts:
BunnytheBlueWhale · 23/01/2020 09:57

I don’t like dandelion but it might work for you if you are v fair

How about go to the benefit counter and get them to try a few things on you and then you can use your voucher to buy some bits if you like them

Goldenhedgehogs · 24/01/2020 20:38

My dental hygienist always criticises the water flossers as not very efficient or good. Best to buy lots of lovely smellies

NorthernGravy · 24/01/2020 20:57

I didn't like the Babylis Big Hair. I like this better as it gets better traction. www.boots.com/revlon-pro-collection-one-step-dryer-volumiser-10235019

A lot of stuff for your local food bank ? Women’s refuge ?

honeylou42 · 24/01/2020 21:44

Olay retinol 😊

rottiemum88 · 24/01/2020 21:50

A lot of stuff for your local food bank ? Women’s refuge?

Hmm
Vinorosso74 · 24/01/2020 21:56

I would go for perfume.

Bluesheep8 · 25/01/2020 08:51

A lot of stuff for your local food bank ? Women’s refuge ?

Eh?

Bluesheep8 · 25/01/2020 08:53

Treat yourself to something you wouldn't normally...body cream to match favourite perfumes for example. Or if you book a free makeover at Benefit you could look at what they recommend.

ineedto · 25/01/2020 08:54

People are allowed to treat themselves, enough with the guilt tripping!

Footle · 25/01/2020 09:03

Is using for charity such a strange idea @BlueSheep? £50's worth of sanpro or baby products would go a long way.
But no one should be guilting the OP into that decision - it's her voucher.
