Can you recommend me a shampoo....

I have thick hair - I've been told it's fine, but there's LOTS of it! It was always oily needing washing every other day at least, daily if I could be bothered! Now menopausal, it's not as oily as it used to be.

I have it coloured to hide the greys. Done by my home hairdresser....not sure what brand she uses....not top of the range fancy pants salon stuff I'm guessing, having said that, better quality than a home kit (I hope!!).

I use the staple brands the supermarkets stock....usually for coloured hair. They leave my har dull, dry or fluffy. I condition once a week....they can leave it heavy and difficult to hold its style (boring bob, no fringe)!

I'm willing to spend a bit for a good shampoo and conditioner that will leave if soft, shiny, healthy looking and bouncy! Can anyone recommend me something? Thanks 🙂

I haven’t used shampoo in over a year. If you have curly or wavy hair google ‘the curly girl method’. Changed my life. No sulphites, no silicon, no shampoo.
No itchy scalp, no grease, no dandruff. Just healthy ringlets!

Thanks for your reply. I don't have curly hair (I wish!) and I really don't think I could do the whole no shampoo thing....great it's worked for you, though 🙂

I could have written this OP.

I use herbal essences, the green/clear one which is silicone free. Also with the matching conditioner which is light. I also use Moroccan oil one a week, I put some on at night and wash it the next day.

My hair is amazing soft and shiny now.

I know it's a supermarket brand, I would pay a fortune (and have done in the past).

I don't have curly hair, in fact mine sounds a lot like yours but without the dye.
Seriously think about ditching shampoo... try conditioner only. I tried it out in September and I haven't used shampoo since. I comb it through from scalp to ends really well and rinse out. It really does take the grease and dirt away and seems to go longer without a wash. My hair feels softer and more manageble too (it is practically uncombable otherwise). If you use one with natural oils instead of silicones, it shouldn't weigh it down. Maui have a few ones for different hair types.
