What to wear on your feet

I’m very much a jeans and a smart top kinda gal, but struggle with what to wear on my feet. Usually go tan heeled boots, trainers don’t look right for me (in skinny jeans I think I look like a golf club) . Too cold for pumps, in summer I live in flip-flops.
Any suggestions? Also can’t do knee-high boots as I have big calves...)

Black trainers with a white sole from M&S
Tan boat shoes
Black loafers
Tan flat ankle boots
Tan flat knee high boots and I don't care if I look like it's 2006

I wear all of the above with jeans and/or tights.

Try some different trainer styles? Some styles eg classic Puma or Converse have a very flat sort of profile which makes feet look longer. A chunkier sort of shape might be better.

Brogues or chunky loafers with nice socks? Sounds like you have long slim legs and a classic/preppy style which would work.

Otherwise try some different boot styles. DM Chelsea boots & similar look great with skinny jeans if you have the legs for them.

Hope this helps.

I’m sorry I just saw you said you have big calves, but do you have long legs (hence the golf club look?). If so my suggestions still stand.

If (like me) you’re on the short side, any ankle boots which ‘dip’ at the front could work. Suede and/or a different colour eg grey might be a nice change. I’ve just got some DM monkey boots which are great as they are shorter in the ankle than the classic DM. Having said that, classic 8-hole DMs suit everyone IMO and might be worth a try.

Maybe try some different Jean styles. There are pretty much every shape available at the moment. Time for a change.
