I know that cheaper shampoos aren't great for your hair but I'm not sure what's classed as a "good" brand. I don't mind paying for something that's going to be better for my hair. My hair is thick and quite course. I'm just not sure what I'm looking for and I'd like some recommendations please.

My hair is very coarse-I tend to use Tresemme.

My hair is similar - back when i had the income to afford it, Kerastase nourishing every time. Made my hair feel like silk.

I find Aveda very good - their damage remedy and smooth infusion ranges are good for coarse hair and frizz. Fairly expensive though - £20+ for a bottle of shampoo.

I use Olaplex, its expensive but my hair is so shiny and smooth.
I also like John Frieda.

Aveda Damage Remedy for my thick mop. I tried tried the travel size which was on offer in the shop at the time and have stuck with it . Think you get 10% off if you sign up on line . Quite expensive but you only need a tiny bit .
